A reminder to all Athletes who have indicated that they would like to compete in the CSSAL in Grangemouth this Sunday that they have to at the Stadium by 10.45am. As the track is a Mondoe type they should also ensure that they are not using needle spikes, and the length of the spikes used do not exceed 7mm.
Athletes should also make sure their Scottish Athletics Membership is up-to-date and they bring their SAL number with them.
Please report to Raymond, in the main stand, immediately on arrival.
Well done to all Stewartry Athletes who took part in the West District Championships recently, especially Cameron Muffet who finished 2nd in the Under 13 200m with a new PB of 28.04s
Other notable performances included Euan Kemp reaching the final of the Under 17 400m, running a time of 55.4s. Well done also to NinaWashkirk, Sabrina Henry and Ross Clark.
Following 4 years as Chairperson of Stewartry Athletics, Raymond Henry announced he was stepping down at the AGM last Thursday. He is not leaving the club and will still be heavily involved in both a coaching capacity and as Team Manager at League events. He was thanked for his work over the 4 years by those present at the meeting.
The New Chairperson at the club is Fred Muffett. Fred has been actively involved for the past couple of years as a parent helper at coaching sessions and often present at various league and open competitions. GOOD LUCK FRED…
